Common questions about Stonewatch pricing

Is the Stonewatch license a one-time purchase?

Yes. Home is USD 99 before tax, paid once for one recorder machine, with no charge per camera. The recorder keeps working without any further payment.

Does one license cover all my cameras?

Every one of them. Home has no camera limit, so the price stays the same as you add cameras, up to what your hardware can record.

Can I move my license to a new computer?

You can. Deactivate the license in Settings → System on the old recorder, then activate the same key on the new machine.

Are updates included?

The first year of updates is included in the USD 99. After that, updates are USD 49 a year. Renewing is optional: without it, the recorder keeps recording on the version you have, and you can renew later without paying for the years in between.

Does a Home license keep recording when the internet is down?

It does. Recording, detection and playback run on your own machine. A Home license checks in about once a day and keeps working for 30 days without a connection.

What happens to my recordings after the trial?

They stay yours. Playback and export keep working whether or not you buy, and cameras record again once a Home license is activated.

Can I watch my cameras from my phone?

Stonewatch Viewer runs on iPhone and Android, the same app as on Windows, Mac and Linux. It connects from anywhere over Tailscale or another VPN.
